Lighting package add-on

Photography is the capture of light to make an image, so the more impressive the light is the more impact the images have. The lighting package is designed to take your wedding reception to the next level with a lighting experience designed by your photographer to enhance the mood of your reception as well as the impact of your photographs.

The lighting package takes a pro-active and personal approach to designing a lighting experience that will enhance the mood of your reception. At your wedding you have a chef to be concerned with the food, a captain to ensure good service, a decorator to arrange the tables and flowers, an entertainer or MC to provide good music and introduce the events. Lighitng to me as the photographer is everything, and so I feel I should take the role of the expert in the area of light. We will discuss things such as color, brightness, activity level and your reception layout. As a default in all of my packages I bring enough lighting equipment to ensure that I am able to capture the event, such as this:

The lighting package is more than sufficency in lighting, its creativity with lighting. We will take your event and enliven it with light. The lighting effect can run the gamut from gently romantic to actively theatrical as is appropriate for the time of evening.

We can help you coordinate gifts/toys that can help the guests have fun, and make the photos more interesting!

Another of the advantages of adding a lighting package to your wedding photography package is to add another person to our team. If necessary we will add a lighting assistant to coordinate the gear and assist us in placing the light for the best photos. This allows a 'swing' assistant for Liesl or I. This technique allows us to give a much more natural feeling of depth than using a flash on top of our camera.

Pricing is prepared based upon our discussion of the style and size of your location. Packages may run as low as $100, and as high as $1000.

All packages for 2005 will be sold at cost - please inquire about enhancing your location.
