George Eastman House gardens wedding photo information

The George Eastman House gardens are a classic location to take some formally fun wedding party photos for your event. To make a reservation you may request information through the GEH website. As the west gardens to not get direct light during the afternoon due to the large wall, it can be a nice relief from the sun in the summer and wind in the fall. It is generlly necessary to add some suplimentary lighting to the shaded area and so we bring sufficent reflector panels or flashes. Light is the formative element in making a photograph, while probably secondary to the emotional relavancy of the content, if you choose to have your photos at the Eastman gardens the dificulty is to overcome the lighting challenges of the location.

Our group photo philosophy is not to make you miserable by telling 'just' how to stand, but to get you to have a fun time while staying arranged long enough to get you with your eyes open. We try to give your wedding party the freedom to express themselves!
